I started casually practising yoga about 10 years ago. Following a small interlude after having my daughters, I returned to a regular weekly Iyengar yoga class after completing the Manchester half marathon in October 2016 wanting to give my body a rest from pounding the pavements and to learn how to use my body in different ways.
Before I knew it I was hooked on yoga again, the inner calmness it brought lasted well beyond the end of the class and into my everyday life. As a full time working mum of two, something which is very welcome!
Over the past two years my practice has increased to (almost) daily, I have attended a wide range of yoga courses and have qualified as a pregnancy yoga teacher certified by IYN, as well as still fitting in the occasional sneaky run.
